Mike and Marigold Cheshier bring many varied gifts and experiences to the evangelistic ministry to which God has called them. They feel that an important part of their ministry is ministering to the spiritual needs of the local church.
The Cheshiers' ministry has taken them to over 83 countries in the world. In their overseas missionary ministry, God has honored His Word of Mark 16 and has healed the deaf, lame, blind and many other sicknesses.
In an attempt to record the adventures and miracles God has provided, Marigold has written two books in "CHRONICLES OF THE CALL."
Mike is a graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University. He has pastored for over 23 years and was presbyter in the Louisiana district for three years. Mike pastored his first church at the age of 19; throughout his career, he has pastored six churches.
He has held evangelistic crusades in most of our 50 states and on three continents He has served on the National Evangelist Commitee of the Assemblies of God. He has appeared on TBN, Sky Angel, and TBN affiliates.
Mike also has a sense of history concerning his movement as his grandmother was ordained at the first General Council of the Assemblies of God in 1914. She did not pass from this life until 1991 at which time she was the oldest living charter member of the Assemblies of God.
Marigold began her ministry at age 12 with evangelistic crusades. She is not only a powerful preacher, but also a very gifted singer with more than 21 recordings. These music projects have been sold, literally around the world.
Marigold has ministered as the featured speaker at 48 of our 50 states' women's retreats for the Assemblies of God, as well as many inter-denominational and inter-national conferences and events. She has appeared on most of the major Christian television ministries, such as 700 club with Pat Robertson, Sky Angel, TBN and affiliates, and the old PTL Club.
She's a mother of two children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren--all in kingdom ministry. Marigold serves the Lord in a facility of missions/evangelism. She finds herself still on the front lines of furthering the kingdom of God, having had three bouts with cancer, numerous miraculous interventions, and being sustained, for the work that God sets before her. Her testimony and preaching ministry will thrill and inspire all that hear it, as it has tens of thousands all around the world.
The Cheshiers have many experiences from which to draw to illustrate the power of the Gospel and victorious grace.
In 1982, their son Mikey was severely burned over the upper 30% of his body. He was not only burned externally, but after inhaling the flames suffered burns in his throat and lungs. God brought him from a death sentence to a preacher and power-lifter, bench pressing 450lbs. Mikey was also healed completely from a cancerous tumor that encompassed 1/3 of his chest cavity.
In 1984, their daughter was beaten and left for dead on a roadside park in Louisiana. The Cheshiers were told that she would never be able to bear children because of the physical trauma. Today, she is a children’s evangelist and a mother of twin boys.
In 1984, Marigold was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was only given 18 months to live. She is still very much alive, and is preaching and singing all over the world thanks to God’s mercy and healing grace.
All of this has given the Cheshiers some uncommon insights into the needs of this hurting world in which we live. The Cheshiers give God the glory for all of the victories in their lives. They rejoice at the mighty delivering power of our resurrected Savior, Jesus Christ.
